Catch Up and the Shores

I went through my camera today and found a bunch of pictures and videos that I have not shared from the past month. Thought I would do a little catch up on it all.

This is a video of Henry and Reese from about a month ago. They just love each other so much and Henry is constantly trying to impress her. I love how long it takes him to kiss her in this one.

When Bill's Mom and Sister came Henry made them all play in a band. It was pretty cute!

Here is a picture of my sister with all three kids at the park! Can you say Supermom!

Here is Reese in her muscle shirt. She loves siting up so we have been using our bumbo.

When I feed Reese Henry sometimes entertains himself by being a baby too!

My smiley little love enjoying the outdoors in her bouncy!

We played with Henry's friend Macadam at Microsoft and had so much fun. These boys are a perfect match. They ran, biked, hopped, jumped and just did the boy thing! It was hard to get a picture of them still.

We also ventured to the beach this past weekend with Grandpa Steve, Auntie Anna and Lucy. We had lots of fun and Lucy has grown so much in just 2 weeks! She is a roller now and is sitting up too! She has a winning smile and charms everyone around. The kids had so much fun playing with Grandpa. Henry misses them all a bunch!

Growing and Cousin Time

So today was the little Reester Bunny's 2 month check up and boy was the doctor impressed with her growth...she is 14.1 lbs and 24 inches! That is 4 inches and almost 5 lbs of growth in just 2 short months and puts her in the 97th percentile!

She is healthy as can be and rolled from her tummy to her back at the doctor's office. I don't expect her to do it again anytime soon because I think it was one of those everything came together at once moments, but this little gal is quite strong! When she isn't sleeping she is smiling and talking. Her coo's have become part of our house soundtrack along with Henry's "honk honk" penguin imitation! She is constantly crunching up until we lift her to her feet so she can practice standing. She is just the sweetest and we love her!

Last week my sister and my sweet little niece came for a visit. We had so much fun! Eva just turned one and was walking all over the place. She and Henry had a great time and he was often guilty of loving her a little too much! He was constantly hovering and grabbing her and it was pretty sweet. The best thing was when they were at the park and a little boy passed by Eva and Henry made a bubble around her with his body and told the boy to be careful!

Eva is precious and is such a sweet girl. She is super curious and just plain happy! She fell in love with our dog Olive and constantly kept rolling on her! She also has such an appetite that we started calling her Joey "the Jaws" Chestnut (popular food competitor). Bill and I were so amazed at her appetite that we experimented and she took down a lemon slice (rind and all), red onion chunk and salad!!

We had a great visit and Henry was convinced he was going home with Auntie and was quite sad when I reminded him he lived here with Mom and Dad and Reese. He keeps looking for Auntie in his bed because all he wanted was for her to spend the night in his room!

My sister got a new camera and took lots of amazing pictures. Here are some below and the rest are on the picture site.

I Will Save You!

Nana, Auntie Anna and baby Lucy came for a visit this past weekend and we had such a wonderful time! First of all little Lucy, who is 6 months, is the sweetest pretty little baby girl. She has these sparkly eyes and loves to chat and chat all day long. We are just in love with her and got some sweet pictures of her with her cousins. Henry and Reese also had quite a good time with Auntie Anna and Nana.

Hen just wanted their constant attention and they gave it to him, which he loved! Reese just enjoyed all the love!

Henry loved playing with Nana because she was game for anything. They rode elevators, pretended to sleep, called each other on the phone and he spent a good amount of time saving her! The saving part was his favorite because Nana brought hi the most awesome fireman jacket ever! It was so cute to see them together and I know Henry wished she could of stayed forever (me too)!

Henry was also convinced that we were hiding Auntie Anna in our room and was quite disappointed when she wasn't in our room waiting for him each morning...it was pretty cute and funny.

Reese continued to be a sweet little gal who was happy to just hang out. She got lots of snuggle time with her Auntie and Nana and they just loved her. Nana calls her the "icing on the cake" and I couldn't agree more! Nana also got her the cutest tutu and cupcake hat as well as tons of sweet outfits, one of them she even made herself!!

Here are some pictures from the weekend

Fireman Henry

This week I have been potty training Henry. It has gone pretty well and he is trying really hard. We have been sticking close to home and playing lots of games inside. Yesterday he was playing fireman and I couldn't resist taking a video because it was so cute! I also love it because it reminds me how much my guy is growing and how much his little imagination and comprehension are forming so quickly. Enjoy!

Easter Weekend

We had a great Easter weekend. Saturday the weather was beautiful and we worked in our yard all day! Bill is making a set of pathways that lead to Henry's playhouse and I put a bunch of new plants so hopefully we can enjoy our yard this summer. Henry was busy getting dirty and Reese slept in her swing in the backyard for most of the afternoon. It was just so nice to have a day of fresh dry air!

Sunday the sun went away but we still had a great day. Henry woke up to a great big chocolate egg and he was so excited about the Easter Bunny. Below is a video of him right after he got his basket.

No basket for Reese but we got a chance to put her in a little dress and give her bunny ears which led us to call her Reester Bunny all day long.

We have a local grocery store close to our house which I have been frequenting since Hen was about a month old. We have made friends with two of the women who work there, Pam and Tina. We go visit them each week and they always shower Henry, and now Reese, with hugs and kisses and sometimes cookies! Tina invited us to her house for Easter and it was so fun. She had an amazing backyard with lots of toys and best of all she had hid tons of eggs for Henry to find! My favorite part of the day was when Tina was teaching Henry how to pump his legs when he swings. She also spoiled him with an easter basket and lots of love. We are very lucky to have such wonderful friends!

Sleeping Beauties...at the same time!!

Both kids are sleeping at the same time! Had to post this unbelievable moment. I guess this is what happens when one is sick and the other is just working on growing. Below is a picture of the sleeping beauties! I am not sure what to do...maybe something indulgent like making a grocery list!

out like a light in her crib. She got her reflux meds and is doing great!

Passed out while watching "Mighty Jungle" and singing along to the show!

Stomach flu is still hanging out with Henry but he gets better each day. We have been laying extremely low and watching lots of shows and reading books. We have even manged to go play out in the yard but Henry just doesn't last long when he is under the weather...so unlike him!

We got Reese a new swing and a black and white book she loves. She and Henry have been hanging out a bunch and he keeps telling her she is a nice baby and helps her when she is upset by getting her pacifier or reading her a book. He also wants to hold her all the time which has been tricky while he has been sick. Here are some pics.

Life's a Beach!

***added pictures to shutterfly site. Link on right side of this page.

We spent the past weekend and Bill's final days of paternity leave in Ocean Shores at the new beach house Grandpa Steve bought. It was so much fun. We relaxed, played at the beach, mad yummy food and even had the Hubert's join us at the end of the weekend. It was really hard to leave because it is such great house and the weather was beautiful for us. We look forward to many more long weekends.

Longest embrace ever!

Bill went back to work yesterday after 4 weeks of paternity leave...did I mention I love Microsoft for just that reason! It was amazing to have Bill home for so long and he is so helpful and such an amazing Dad that it was hard to have him go back!

Day one was great! We didn't manage to leave the house and head to the park despite all my efforts. Henry said it was too cold and refused to leave. This makes sense on Day 2 because we awoke with a sick vomiting 2.5 year old this morning, which makes me think he was feeling a bit yucky yesterday. So it has been an interesting day so far. Lets just say I am learning quickly how to care for two kids at one time.

sick little guy passed out on the floor this morning

Reese is growing fast and still being a perfect little baby. She is smiling at us a bunch and is super interested in staring at our faces. She still loves her nightly tubby and is the best snuggler! She, like her brother, has acid reflux so we are getting meds from the Doctor on Wednesday and she will be doing better soon! She is handling the reflux much better than Henry ever did and is still sleeping well at night giving me a 4-6 hour stretch!

Despite the sick sweet toddler I am loving being home with these two sweet kids. It is busy but I like it and feel tired and happy at the end of the day which is nice. I love that we never have a dull moment but it scares me that time is passing too quickly and they will be all grown up before I know it. Henry is up so duty calls....
