Happy Birthday to Reese

Here is the birthday girl in her official birthday shirt and tutu! She looked so funny and cute at the same time. She loved the fluffy tutu and it really made the little party. We had cupcakes and lots of fun. It was a very simple and low key kind of day which was really nice!

We have always called Reese our little bun bun (bunny) so my Mom and I made these bunny cupcakes at the last minute and I love how they turned out!

This is her first cake video. It has a surprise ending (let's just say she wasn't as into the cupcakes as I thought she would be)

Here are some more outtakes from the day!

Here she is walking around!

Bun Bun is One!!

I can’t believe how quickly Reese’s first year has gone! It has been a wonderful year and we have all grown a lot and learned a lot. Henry has learned how to be a big brother which has been so nice to watch. He loves his sister and even though he gets upset with her from time to time he also has many tender moments with her each day.

Bill and I have learned a lot about life with two kids. Aside from the extra chaos an extra body can create we have definitely found our stride as a family now that we have 2 little ones. We are incredibly lucky to have these two little ones!

Reese is an incredible little person. She is loving and very goofy. She rarely is without a smile. She has a fiery side as well that reassures us that she will never be pushed around. She understands so much and is quite the communicator! She is “talking” to us so much with her own language, just like her brother did, head bobbing and all. She loves to learn and is captivated when we talk about animal sounds. She also is officially a walker ( I promise to get a good video and post soon)

She is just the sweetest!

Today we will play, eat bunny cupcakes and have fun. We have decided to just have a little party at home since my parents are here visiting and we are all sick. It is actually the perfect way to celebrate such a perfect little girl!

I will take lots of pictures of the birthday girl and share them tomorrow!
