Energizer Birthday...it keeps going and going...

Birthday Cake for my Henry!

Henry had quite the long birthday celebration this year!!! It kicked off with my last post and also a trip to Chuck E Cheese with his cousins Ben and Mikey! Henry loved it and it meant the world to him that his cousins came and made him feel so special on his birthday. Both boys even took time to walk Henry around and do what he wanted to do! Henry loved it and here are the pictures to prove it!

Next up the Hubert's came to town and he got to hang with his old buddy Halle. As usual they had a blast mixed with some scuffles and it felt so good to be with our friends again! Each of then in their separation had learned to pedal their bikes so they had an amazing time riding in the yard. They must of gone up and down the strip of concrete one hundred times! We also did sprinklers which was so nice with a sunny day in Redmond!Thomas and Reese even did a little hanging out and Thomas just loved giving her kisses!

On Saturday we went to Macadam's birthday and had a wonderful time! It was cool for Henry to have a party preview the day before his bash! He sat so quietly and watched Mac open his presents as if he gathering tips on how to open his presents the next day! Here are the boys at a play date a week earlier.

The best part of the weekend for Henry was his party. He even got to have Grandpa Steve there to celebrate! We had a firefighter themed pizza party. We ate some pizza at Zeek's and then had a mini parade down to the Marina park on the water for fire truck cookies and a pinata. Henry got so many wonderful and thoughtful presents from everyone! The pinata was fun and we eventually had to call in cousins Davis and Sierra to get it open. The weather was gorgeous and we just played at the park and had fir truck cookies, basically Henry's dream day!

Happy Birthday Henry

Happy 3rd Birthday to my Henry! Here is a video of my little guy when he got up this morning.

I gave him the fireman pajamas last night so he could have new birthday jammies.

He took them on and off like 100 times yesterday when he was pretending to be a fireman heading to a fire! So when I went to tuck him in last night he looked like this!

This morning his girlfriend Tina at Red Apple grocery sent me home with a personalized doughnut for Henry that he loved!

Today is full of playing with his new stuff and hopefully hitting up Chuck E. Cheese with his cousins who are in town visiting, whom he adores!

I feel so lucky to have had such a sweet and incredible little guy with me for the past 3 years. Henry makes everyday more exciting and I just feel so blessed to have him as my little guy. As he walked out this morning I cried because I was so proud of how much he has grown and how incredibly sweet he is!

I also have tons of cute pictures from the past 2 weeks of play dates and also his visit with his cousins. I will promise to post them next week but for now its time to party!!

Tell Me A Story

Henry and I love to tell each other stories. Here he is telling me one over breakfast. Usually they are about firefighters or construction, but today he went freestyle.

Translation:

Once upon a time there was a boy named Henry. And I say hello daddy how are you doing? And he goes into the office and he was hungry at the office and there was no (I have no idea what he says here) He eat and uhhh there were uhhh the little one eats all of them.

The end

He is talking about how he sometimes goes to Bill's work and has licorice. One of Bill's co workers has a big bucket of it outside of his door and Henry loves it.

Here is the big guy in his astronaut pajamas. When he woke up this morning the first thing he said was that he went to the moon!

Growing and Growing

We have been so busy these past couple weeks. The kids are growing so fast and they have been keeping us very busy. Here's a little update in pictures.

two peas in a pod

Reese officially is a rolling machine. She figured out the tummy to back roll a week ago and is all over the place. As I write this I am constantly getting up and restarting her at the opposite side of the room!

Her next big skill she is working on is sitting up by herself. She practices everyday but always falls over and gets on her tummy which is her favorite place to be. She has been sitting up in highchairs and at the store in the cart and she loves it. It is a bit embarrassing though because she yells with joy the whole time.

we took her bouncy away because she was sitting up in it!

We purchased a new cheapie little stroller that has a ride on board for Henry. He loves it when we first got it but it seems like he would rather walk, I mean run these days! He we are on our first spin.

Henry is all fire fighter all the time these days. We watch fire stuff, read fire stuff, play fire stuff, etc. Not much happens with out a comparison to a fire fighter, whether we are eating pancakes or going potty Henry lets you know that firemen do it too.

He wanted a gas mask so this was his solution...kinda creepy! He pulled his shirt over his face.

Instead I made him a mask. Here he is after a night out in Kirkland for dinner. He wore this the whole time and talked in his deep voice saying hello to everyone, very official! Yes that is a bowl, I mean gas mask over his mouth.

We also get an occasional visit from a construction man! Very helpful with all the jobs around the house.

Henry will be three next week and I just can't believe it. We have our 3 year old moments but he honestly is such a sweet boy. Full of hugs and giggles and never still! I just love him!

Summer Trip

Ok back to blogging!!! Every time I sit down to do this something comes up. To be honest I am being held hostage by these two adorable little bandits who rarely let me use the computer!!

Lots to catch up on but for today I will share pictures from our trip to Sonora/Tahoe.

We took a 12 day road trip in our swagger wagon to see our folks and some siblings. It was such a busy trip we never even made it to Sacramento, which is such a bummer because we have many friends there we love. Those grandparents are greedy though and took up all of our time ;)!

Our drive was great and we totally cheated by getting Henry a movie player which was great! Reese was an angel and we really only had limited times of chaos, though I did go from the front seat to the back maybe a million times!

When we got to Sonora we had so much fun! Henry was in 7th heaven! Probably because my parents had made it into his own personal wonderland. They made him a fire pole and a construction site! Henry played from the second we got out of the car until we left. He spent a good portion of his time either playing on the Papa made fire pole (until he got blisters) or inside "cooking" and singing with Titi. It was magical! Here's proof:

on the pole

Reese bounced her little heart out and enjoyed all of the attention she got! Auntie Tink, Uncle David and Eva came too and it was so nice to be together with everyone. Eva is all over the place an into everything and she is just the sweetest little thing! She loved Reese and kept snuggling up to her any chance she got! She also rang the fire bell for Henry which he loved! We adluts had a great time too! We relaxed, played scrabble, went to the lake, out to eat and had a yummy wine dinner made by the Rumbaughs!!

SO MANY GREAT PICTURES WERE TAKEN by the Rumbaugh's!!! I uploaded them all to our picture site :)

We then packed up once again and headed to Lake Tahoe to spend time with Nana, Auntie Anna and Lucy. We had a great house with a wonderful backyard and view of Heavenly. I had lost our camera for the first couple of days and it killed me. I missed so many wonderful pictures like the hand in hand shot of Henry and Nana walking to take a ride on the gondola together. They had a great time and we even went a second time the next day! Henry spent his time playing fireman with Nana either in the car or on the stairs and going in the hot tub which we made a warm tub so all could swim. Nana showed us what patience looks like! Reese and Lucy who only have a 4 month difference had a great time doing what babies do best, just hanging out and smiling! Lucy is so sweet and we had fun playing with her and her Mommy! We did so many fun things and had some great BBQ's in the yard. It really was great!

On our way back home we stopped in Reno and saw The Ferro's. Ben and Mike are getting so big and we introduced them all to Reese. The boys are absolutely wonderful to Henry and had him occupied the entire time while my brother and Lisa held Reese. They even had a Jeep for the kids to drive which made Henry's day!

We survived and had a great trip! We actually hope to do it again soon!
