Today we took Henry to his first movie experience. We went and saw Winnie the Pooh and it was adorable. Henry did so well, sat still and ate tons of popcorn. I was so proud of him!
Reese just slept and when she woke she watched the last 10 minutes.
I snapped a quick shot during the movie :)
Earlier in the day we found an outfit that was mine when I was a baby and tried it on Reese. The polyester was a little more like spandex on the little gal! The nose of the clown squeaks which Henry and Reese loved!
Collectively everyone in our little family had an awesome weekend. We'll start with Henry getting to have a pancake breakfast (his favorite) at the firehouse with the firefighters. Then add in the fact that he got to use the hose, put on fire gear and sit in a fire truck and you have the best day of Henry's life to date, and possibly ever! It was so fun and the firefighters were so good to Henry. He was so proud to meet them and also a little bit shy. We arrived at the firehouse at 8am and did not leave until 11. Much to our embarrassment he lingered by the fire truck and every time he got off he got back in line for another turn. Here are some pictures:

For some reason ever since Reese was new I have stuck my tongue out her and blown raspberries. She loves it and has been trying to imitate me for some time now. Well this past weekend she did it, much to her amazement. I could tell she was tickled pink with her new skill and she has been doing it non stop ever since.
Bill and I decided we needed some fun too so on Saturday evening we took the kids to Novelty Hill winery and sat outside in the sun enjoying a big glass of wine or two while Reese chilled in her stroller and Henry played on the bocce ball court. It was amazing!!!
My last little story is not from the weekend but from today. As we drove to Target Henry said he saw a police car. I said great and we continued on our drive. As I pulled in to the parking spot I noticed a police man pulling up behind me. My heart jumped and I thought how embarrassing to get a ticket in the Target parking lot with both kids in the car.
Instead of a ticket the police man gave Henry a badge and preceded to tell me Henry had smiled and waved very happily at him as we passed him and it made his day. I was relieved and also pretty proud of my public safety loving child!
Our little Reese is full of expressions. Check out this sequence of photos we took over a 30 second period!
She also is always trying to sit up, it doesn't matter what she is doing!
She also has found her laugh!
Yesterday was Bill's birthday and we celebrated at home with a party. Henry was really excited and we had fun planning the party and decorating together. His favorite part was singing to Bill, which he did all day!
I feel so lucky that my kiddos are so wonderful to be around. Every day they surprise me and make me smile (they sometimes also make me crazy!)
We had a great 4th of July in Ocean Shores! We spent it with Grandpa, Auntie Anna, Uncle Andy, baby Lucy and the Hubert family. We had so much fun and did so much that it is hard to write about it all.
Henry and Halle had been apart for a month, which we realized was the longest they have ever gone without seeing each other. They really enjoyed seeing each other again and in true Henry and Halle form they were either running around laughing or trying to kill one another. Thomas is growing so fast and is crawling and climbing everything. He still has that sweet little personality and I just love him. He had Reese and Lucy to keep him busy and at times he would go back and forth between them just like a little ladies man.
The Piper's came from Portland too and as always it was so good to see them! Little Lucy is just precious and held her own among the chaos of the kids. She loved watching Reese and often gave her little love pats, which was so sweet.
Grandpa Steve was kept very busy the whole weekend. He read lots of books, played lots of games and marched in a parade with Henry around the house! As we were driving home on Tuesday Henry woke from his nap and the first thing he said was "I want to go back to Grandpa's beach house!" I think that sums up how much fun we all had!
Below are some pictures and videos. More pictures are on the picture site.
