Rock and Roll

Reese rolled over this morning from her back to her tummy!! She had been practicing for the last couple of days and this morning with grunts and squeals she did it! The video is the second official time she did it and by this evening she was much quicker. It truly is amazing how quickly they perfect things. It is hard to believe she is growing so fast and at 3 1/2 months old she is quickly becoming able to hold her own in our busy household.

She also started laughing pretty well the other day but has yet to do it on camera very well. She is still always smiling at us and is just in awe of her big brother. She actually cried when he was out of her sight the other day...sad and sweet.

Henry is doing well and is almost totally potty trained. He spends all day except when he is sleeping in his big boy underpants, which makes him feel so proud. It's been no picnic training him because he is so stubborn and emotional but I do find myself feeling so proud of him in between those frustrating spells.

Hard to believe he starts school in September!! He still makes me laugh everyday and raising him thus far has been the craziest roller coaster I have ever experienced. He is such a talker at home and says the craziest stuff. He is quite shy when we are somewhere new and has resorted to making honking sounds instead of talking to new people. Some days I really do see a lot of me in him!!

Bounicing, Dad and a Ball Game

We had one of the best weekends ever. We kicked it off with a smore party in our yard! Though our fire never really took off we had enough flame to each have a smore or two, and they were delicious! Since she couldn't indulge in the sweets we introduced Reese to the bouncer and she LOVED it! She also got it moving pretty well for a first timer and for a 3 month old. Though in the video below she mostly was interested in the camera.

smores anyone?

Father's Dy this year was super memorable and wonderful for all of us. We had a great slow morning full of coffee and playing. We then headed to Safeco field for Henry's and Reese's first baseball game. We were not sure how this would go but it went perfect! Reese mostly was in and out of sleep only to be briefly woken each time the crowd cheered...it was pretty funny to watch her head keep popping up!

Henry loved the whole experience from the helmet we got him to all the fun ballpark food (he loved the kettle corn). His favorite part though was snuggling, and also squirming, on Bill's lap watching the game. We made it 6 innings before we had to get up and walk which was more than we expected.

We then got some ice cream and went down to the bullpen to finish the game. It truly was just perfect and we had a great time. The Mariner's won...the game was actually a shut out and lots of fun to watch! So happy we could give Bill a good day because he truly is such a great and involved dad and our family just wouldn't and couldn't function without him.

Chit Chat

Reese has been growing and developing so quickly these days. Her favorite things include eating her hands, making lots of noise, sitting up and standing up with our help and smiling almost every waking moment. She just loves to interact and becomes more social each day!

Here is a video of some of her chatting, though she always clams up a bit when she sees the camera!

She also loves watching Henry and he loves entertaining her. I found some pictures of each of them from the day they were born. Henry is on the left of each set. I am amazed at how similar they look and at the same time I can spot so many differences. One thing is for sure, I love them both more than I could ever express!

Sunshine

Here are some pictures that Lauren took of the kids during Memorial Day weekend. The whole set is on the picture site in the June pictures section and they are so cute!!

Our dear friends the Hubert's moved to Portland this past Sunday and it was truly sad to see them go. We had lots of time together before they left and as always had a great time BBQing and letting the kids enjoy the yard. We also got a Tball set and Hen and Hal hade some major fun with it. Our time with the Hubert's has been amazing. We had our first kids only a month apart and had so many moments together that the time we have had living so close has been so special to our family. It has been a tough week knowing we can't just drop in on them or have a last minute outing. Here are some pictures of our fun!

The sun shined all weekend long which basically meant other than naps we were outside playing. Henry played in the sprinklers, we BBQed, had a picnic at the park and played lots of T-ball (Hen's favorite sport!) Here are some pictures of us enjoying the sun!

Memorial Day

We had a fantastic Memorial Day Weekend! We got to spend Friday with our old friend Lauren who was in town for a visit from Oakland. She brought Henry a Kit Kat bar which instantly made her a favorite in his mind. At one point he called her "other mother" which made me laugh pretty hard. It was a great day and we wished she lived closer.

Saturday we went to Laura and Justin's house. They, once again, made us an amazing dinner and we had a great time. Henry played (more like chased) their kitties and explored the garden and yard. He was in love with their bathroom and even asked to take a shower! After saying no to the shower he got revenge on me by going to the bathroom like 20 times! Reese just chilled out and got a nice nice on the sunny porch. Justin and Laura are always so fun and made us all feel at home even though we are a traveling circus.

Sunday we took a trip to Banbridge Island to see Lauren again as well and her family. They are all so amazing. Her Father and his wife Donna made an incredible spread and let Henry run all around and have a blast. Henry pretty much followed Lauren's niece Sophia around the entire day while we ate and drank with everyone. It was the perfect day and we never wanted to leave. Reese got passed around and was her usual lovely self!

So a busy weekend with lots of fun packed in! The only bummer is I took no pictures. Lauren has some pictures and as soon as I get them I will post them.

Last night we went to my niece Sierra's 2nd grade play about bugs. It was so adorable and I think Sierra stole the show with her amazing hair flip and dance moves. Henry watched from afar and was a mixture of amazed and scared! Reese enjoyed the show but had one little cry session, I think she was trying to steal the show!

So today we are just hanging around keeping dry from the rain...yuck! I took some pictures of Henry and Reese playing firefighters (to be honest Reese had no idea what they were doing :) ) These two really are the best of buds.
