Around 6:30am this morning we were well into the swing of our day when Henry decided to show his creative side. I was in the backyard getting the dogs and I looked behind me and there is Henry with a ball point pen in his hand and his first artistic masterpiece on his face! He thought it was funny and was really goofy during the photo session to capture the moment. No such thing as a normal day around here!

It's Not My Party and I'll Cry If I Want To

Halle celebrated her 2nd birthday party yesterday at the park. We had so much fun. Henry did have a tough first half of the party. He saw the cupcakes and couldn't understand why he couldn't eat them all and then when he got one he wanted to eat the paper as well. I have to admit he ended up eating the paper but sometimes just just have to let them learn...right? Eating cupcake paper was a welcome change from the constant crying he had been doing!

By the second half of the party or shall I say once the shirts came off spirits lifted and he partied like a rock star! Here are some cute pics of the day. Oh and poor Halle broke her leg almost 2 weeks ago so she is sporting a hot pink cast and scooting around everywhere. She is such a sweet little girl and is just going with the flow!

As Sweet As They Come

Henry has always been really good at going to bed. If we could only get him to sleep in he would be the perfect sleeper! Anyhow every night when we put him to bed he has to be surrounded by his "friends", his doggie blankie and a book. He will play in his crib for 30 minutes talking and singing and hanging out with his "friends" until he falls asleep. Well for the past few months he has loved to put everything to bed and often will put me or Bill to bed. Last night before I went to bed I went to do my nightly Henry check and found he had put his "friends" to bed. It was so sweet how he put them all on the pillow and scooted down for them. Also notice how he gave his doggie blankie a book to read. He really is a sweet little guy.


We also got a chance to meet up with some good friends from Portland as they drove through to Vancouver. We met at the park and let the kids play. Yes Henry is big but this picture makes him look so much bigger than the others!

What a Weekend!!!

We had a great 4th of July weekend. We went to the Kirkland parade and then had a BBQ at our house with the Hubert's...lots of fun. Our weekend was filled with bike riding and running around despite the 50 degree weather and rain. The sun is making an appearance tonight and is supposed to stick around for the week! Here is a video of Henry's new favorite activity, singing and playing the guitar! Also I put some pictures on of ice cream eating and general fun!

Bike Riding

We bought Henry his first bike! We have been pretty much riding backs since last night. Today we even went out with the Huberts and the little ones rode their hearts out! Soooo fun!
