A Little Help From My Friends

Henry's best girl Halle started to potty train yesterday and even though Henry is not even close to being potty trained himself he wanted to help his buddy out. We had a fun day with lots of accidents but Halle is a champ and is so proud of her potty! I am hoping she learns and then will just train Henry for me! Here are some pics...they look like an old married couple who just doesn't care anymore!

Summer Fun

We just wrapped up a great vacation. We got to see Bill's dad and lots of family and had a wonderful time. Henry loves the water and on a good note and bad note has absolutely no fear of the water. He loves to play outside and it is his new favorite word. His vocabulary is growing and he loves to learn new words. We are starting to understand him more and that has helped to ease that frustration he has been having. It must feel so good for him to be understood! He gets better everyday and is always making us laugh. He has a shy and sensitive side but he also loves to make new friends at the park and also enjoys playing to a crowd. We attended a beautiful wedding and he was the star of the dance floor with his 2nd cousin Oscar (who is almost 5 and was such a loyal and sweet buddy to Henry). He also has started to call me Mommy instead of Mama which is so cute! Whenever I walk in the room he says "Hi Mommy" which makes me smile every time. So many adventures are ahead. Tomorrow he starts his Little Kickers soccer class which should be a blast. I will keep you posted. Below are some great vacation pictures.

Tucks, Cars, and Boaps

Not a day, or better yet, not a minute goes by in Henry's life lately without mentioning the word truck. Fire truck, garbage truck, dump truck, car, bus, digger, cement mixer, fire truck, fire truck, etc!!! He is completely obsessed with the moving machine and the more the better. When we are driving somewhere he constantly points them out. I will hear "gush"(bus), "tuck"(truck), "car", "digger", "hawplane"(airplane) and my all time favorite "boap"(boat). It sure is fun to be part of this discovery process with Henry. He is slowly finding out what makes him tick and what he can do without. His other loves right now are imitating cookie monster, playing with balls, pretending to fall asleep, running around like crazy and doing anything outside. He is one funny kid and has such a big personality it has been impossible to get through the day without laughing hysterically at some point. I wonder what he will like next?

Puddle Party

So when it is rainy in June and you are all cooped up you have to throw a good puddle jumping party. Here are the kiddos showing us just how different they are. Halle is thinking a lot about the whole situation, and also is not a big fan of being dirty. Henry rather than think just wants to do and he is a big fan of being dirty. I know I am biased but I do think they are the two cutest kiddos in the world and this video is just another example.




We also had Bill's dad a.k.a Grampka here for a couple of days. Henry had a blast hanging out with him and Steve couldn't believe how much Henry had grown! Here are a couple cute pictures from the visit.
