Lets start with a Happy Birthday to Grandpa Steve! Have a great day, we love you!
Long time no see! We have lots to catch up on. Two weekends ago we had Grandpa Steve and Auntie Anna visit for the weekend. It was so much fun and the weather was great! Grandpa Steve made "southwest" chicken (a.k.a. very spicy, very yummy chicken) for us. He even brought along some bandanas for all of us to wear so we could really catch the spirit of the southwest..ha! With the nice weather we spent lots of time outside during the day playing at the park and lots of time inside at night just playing and having fun with Henry! Here is a video montage (my new favorite thing to do) of all the weekends videos!
I have one ore video montage to show you. Henry and Halle spend lots of time together and that provides me with lots of cute videos of the two of them. So here is a little Henry and Halle movie.
Stay tuned I have lots more funny videos of Henry I will post throughout the rest of the week...no more montages at least for a day or two!

A Little Bump in the Road
We met with a pediatric urologist this week to find out how to fix Henry's hydrocele (minor problem affecting his little man parts) and they decided that he needed to have it fixed with surgery. It is a minor surgery that will only take 1/2 of a day and he will be put out for it so he won't even know what is happening. We will bring him home that night and keep him drugged up so he will love that he can watch TV all day in our bed...bring on The Mickey Mouse Club! We really like the surgeon and she answered all of our questions so well that we are going into this feeling really confident and calm. They suture him up with dissolvable stitches and cover it with a glue that will allow him to bathe, which is another one of his favorite things, so it sounds like other than a little grogginess and soreness he will resume his usual fun and crazy life within a day or two. His surgery is set for April 5th and it turns out my Mom and Dad will be here visiting anyhow so the extra support and home cooked meals by my Mom will be great!
Below is my new favorite video of Bill and Henry. They are singing together and I smile the whole time when I watch it! I also put up a picture of Halle taking care of Henry the other day when he was resting. That girl is so incredibly sweet and she was so concerned with Henry's coughing (little cold bug) that she even got him a glass of water and read him a book! It made me think how lucky Henry is to have a best friend like that at his age!

Happy Viewing
Here are a few cute little videos I have to share. I went away last weekend and Bill made me a little video of what he and Henry did...very sweet! The second one was during our Oscar night party at the Hubert's. Naming his body parts has been a favorite game for awhile now and he finally let us capture it on film. Happy Viewing!

You Spin Me Right Round...
Henry took me back to my kid days this past week when he started spinning in circles just to get dizzy, and he liked it! I remember doing this quite a bit and I do realize the apple does not fall far from the tree! Here is my sweet and crazy little guy doing is thing!

PBJ's and Down Time
Henry has become quite a fan of the peanut butter and jelly sandwich! Everyday he has one for lunch and I realized there is an art to eating a PBJ when you are a toddler. So take note of the pictures below if you want to brush up on your PBJ eating skills.

Henry is the definition of active these days. He rarely stops going. He runs up and down the halls, he transports toys from one area to another, he chases the dogs, he dances, etc!!! So I have tried to introduce some comfy relax time into his schedule. So he watches one of his shows and relaxes on the couch for 30 minutes most days. It is so cute to wrap him in his quilt and adjust his pillows for pure down time for the both of us!

Miss You
So this is a different week of posts than usual because this is the second post in a row marking the birthday of someone special to us who has passed on. Today would have been our friend Tom Spark's birthday. It is a bittersweet day because we miss him so much and still can't understand why someone with so much ahead of him and with so much to offer had to leave us. Tom was a warm, charismatic and fun person to know. He was just a good person that also had an extremely fun and crazy side that made him someone we all felt pretty special to know. Today I feel like I will enjoy sharing some of my favorite Tom stories with Henry and remind little Henry how sweet Tom was. I will tell him how hopefully whenever Tom held him he rubbed off a little of that amazing person that he was. Our love goes out to Kate today. She is Tom's amazing wife and one of my best friends. She is the reason we all met Tom and we love her very much for sharing him with us. We miss you Tom, Happy Birthday!
I also wanted to post up a fun video to honor Tom's day. He was a fun guy! Here are the kids rocking out to Kidz Bop.

Why We Call You Baby Love
Today would have been my Great Grandma Grace's 88th birthday so we wanted to post a couple of pictures and a few thoughts. She always called Henry Baby Love and it kind of stuck around. I am sad that Henry will never know her like I did but my hope is that through stories and pictures I will be able to paint him a picture of his Great Grandma Grace. Though my Grandma was a tough, stubborn and opinionated woman she also was a funny, loving and thoughtful Grandma. I miss her everyday and feel lucky she got to be such a big part of my life!
